1999 Circuit of Ireland Rally
The 1999 Circuit of Ireland sadly proved to be Bertie Fisher's final Irish Tarmac Rally Championship victory and indeed it was last time the Circuit of Ireland would run until 2002. Fisher was engaged in a titanic battle with Andrew Nesbitt for the majority of the event until a puncture on the final morning forced Nesbitt to settle for second. The event is probably best summed up in the voiceover when Gary Gillespie exclaimed; "Never has so much, been provided by so few, for the enjoyment of so many."
