ROAD TO RACA #25 – Verwalltal – ist das die schönste Gravel-Tour des Jahres?

Fabi has planned a route: a gravel tour through the Verwall Valley, on the border between Tyrol and Vorarlberg. 60 kilometers, 1,200 meters of elevation gain from St. Anton am Arlberg to Bludenz. Sounds relaxing – until the hike-a-bike section. Steep gravel, loose surfaces, short climbs in a stunning natural landscape. Add to that a mountain lake, the Heilbronn Hut, exhilarating descents into the Montafon Valley – and Fabi as my Vorarlberg guide, explaining what "fully obedient" means. No test ride. No equipment check. Just a beautiful ride with a friend who knows the area and shows me paths I would never have found on my own. This is my preparation for the Race Across Austria 1000 – 1,000 km, 16,000 meters of elevation gain, from east to west across Austria.
