British Rail in the 1980s - Paddington Station - March 1988
The video opens with a visit to Paddington on Sunday 20th March 1988,, shortly after I bought the Sony camcorder that all my 1988 videos were filmed on. It includes 50 038 Formidable, 50 039 Implacable, 50 043 Eagle and, the always reliable, 50 031 Hood. There is even some HST footage in this section, though I tended to ignore them on later visits. This second visit, mid-afternoon on the last Sunday in March, saw Class 50s: 017 Royal Oak 031 Hood 033 Glorious 047 Swiftsure and 47 628 Sir Daniel Gooch in its commemorative GWR livery.
