ZHIMOZHI JAZZ BAND - ZITA RAKADAI Lesser-known predecessors to the very popular 'Devera Ngwena Jazz Band', Zhimozhi Jazz Band was formed in Mashava, a mining village in Zimbabwe known for producing asbestos and chromite. Innocent Bitu (who wrote this song) and Jonah Moyo on lead vocals and guitar became quite popular in the town, particularly for entertaining the workers in Mashava Mines. Sadly, Bitu had a difficult life and is no longer with us today, but his music lives on. Many musicians such as Tongai Moyo remember him for helping them with mastering the guitar.
