Claude took 28 minutes ChatGPT missed two cells

Claude vs ChatGPT inside Copilot in Excel, on a real consulting budget tracker. Same prompts, same messy spreadsheet, two very different results: Claude Opus 4.8 took 28 minutes and got everything spot on. GPT-5.5 took eleven and a half minutes and missed two cells I had to catch myself. I'm an IT project management consultant and I've lost entire afternoons to exactly this kind of Excel work. So I ran six real tasks through both models, from fixing name formats and messy dates through to a client-ready budget burndown dashboard, and timed the lot.
