How do you make a Suction Excavator? - Episode 3 ‘Getting it site ready’ with Frank Gowdy of MTS Suction Systems UK Ltd In the last episode from the factory - more to come from site in 2025. Peter Haddock discovers how a Suction Excavator works and what the team does to test the equipment, and Frank explains all the options available. Frank: “Each customer from across the globe will have their own specification and equipment colour choice that we will put together in our facility. “Each unit, once built, then goes through a whole testing and commissioning programme to ensure it’s site ready. So whether you need an additional compressor for breaking up the ground, which is popular in the US and now more in Europe. “Or if you need larger fans to support different sized booms, we can specify a machine that works for your applications.” In this video, Peter and Frank also talk about remote control and safe operation, and Peter got some expert tuition to operate a machine (towards the end of the video).
