Plato’s Apology: The Trial of Socrates
Plato's apology is anything but an apology. It's Socrates rigorous defense of his conduct as well as his thoughts on death and wickedness. To Socrates, it is better to face death as a righteous person than live as a wicked one. Death could be one of two possibilities: One, it could be like a great sleep where we lose all our senses but are at peaace. Or two, Socrates believes his soul will go to another place where he will be able to philosophize and converse with others all he wants. Either way, the jumping into the mystery of death is preferable to leading a life of evil, #philosophy #plato #socrates SUPPORT THE CHANNEL: https://ko-fi.com/philosophytoons INSTAGRAM: @amygdalacomics BUSINESS EMAIL: [email protected]
