Joe Santoni - "I Want You To Be Always With Me"

Joe Santoni is a guitarist, vocalist and trumpet player. His style, inspired by the hot jazz of the 1930’s, is a dynamic and authentic take on New Orleans jazz. His admiration and affection for Louis Armstrong is notable, and he is considered one of the greatest practitioners of Armstrong’s style of swing on the trumpet. He also takes a swingin’ approach when it comes to his vocals and has garnered wide praise on the Paris scene and beyond. Joe met Grammy nominated producer and composer JC Hopkins at the famous Parisian speakeasy Lulu White’s while Joe was performing with the great stride pianist Jean Baptiste-Franc. JC was in Paris from New York City producing a record for Mr Franc. He liked what he saw and months later the two got together to record an album entitled “I Want You To Be Always With Me.” The album features original songs by Mr Hopkins some in collaboration with JB Franc and his father the world renown soprano saxophonist Olivier Franc. It is Joe Santoni’s debut album.
