Froggy Went a Courtin'
Many people believe that this song originated in 1579 when the French Duke of Anjou courted Queen Elizabeth of England. She nicknamed him her "Frog" because of earrings resembling a frog that he gave to her. HOWEVER, this fun song originated in Scotland in 1549, many years prior to their romance. (She did not marry him) Many of the verses are left out of this version due to time constraints. Sing along!
