VTC News | The Hai Phong City Police have just dismantled a gang specializing in selling counterfeit gold, operating across multiple provinces and cities, with the participation of both Vietnamese and Chinese nationals. During the investigation, authorities seized approximately 1.32 kg of counterfeit gold along with other related evidence. According to the Office of the Criminal Investigation Agency (Hai Phong City Police), the case was discovered after a gold shop in Hai Phong was defrauded by the suspects who sold counterfeit jewelry worth nearly 150 million VND on May 31st. Following this incident, the investigating agency quickly launched an investigation to clarify the modus operandi of the group of suspects.
