#12 Phil Mason’s New Orleans All-Stars with Christine Tyrrell & Amy 2006 at Bude Jazz Festival : Powerhouse cornettist Phil Mason, once with Max Collie’s Rhythm Aces, formed this band in 1992. Having toured extensively since, as far afield as Australia and the USA, this band is now widely regarded as one of the biggest traditional jazz attractions on the international scene. The band features Roger Myercroft (clarinet/sax); Micky Cooke (trombone/vocals); Phil Mason (cornet); Jim Macintosh (banjo); Trefor Williams (bass) & Laurie Chescoe (drums) with Christine Tyrrell (vocals) & special guest Amy Roberts (reeds).
