The BMW 740i G12.5 is one of those cars that's really hard to fault. It's fast, quiet, technologically advanced, beautiful, and truly capable of being expensive. But the more I drove it, the more I caught myself thinking something strange. This isn't the flagship you'd expect after the S-Class. Too much sportiness. Too little sense of "magic." And in some places, it feels less like a separate model than a very expensive and very good 5 Series. And yet, the car is still cool in its own way. That's why it's so interesting to talk about.
