Fair Housing Training for Individuals with Disabilities

The purpose of this webinar is to inform people with disabilities of the rights they have when engaging in real estate transactions. This presentation is intended for persons with disabilities who want to learn about their fair housing rights, as well as for housing providers, including landlords and property managers, who want to learn about how NOT to discriminate against persons with disabilities. This presentation covers basic information on fair housing for people with disabilities, including what is covered under the fair housing laws, what qualifies as a disability under the law, how to tell if you may have been discriminated against, how to file a complaint, what remedies might be available if you file, and where to get help. Included in the slides are mini "pop quiz" questions intended to serve as a review of what's been covered before moving on to the next topic area.
