How to replace the polarizing glass on the Wanbo T2 Max New projector. Disassembly. Stain. Film. 1. Remove the front panel 2. Remove the projector's internal components from the housing 3. Unscrew the cover on the left side Tools: a very small Phillips-head screwdriver that holds a magnet, and something thin, sharp, and sturdy (a kitchen knife?) More details 1. Remove the front panel 1.1. Remove the foot pads from the projector. 1.2. Unscrew the 4 screws on the bottom (2 white + 2 black) 1.3. Peel off the sticker on the bottom (you can warm it up with a hair dryer) 1.4. Unscrew two more white screws on the bottom 1.5. Pry off the front panel with something thin and sharp. But do not remove it. Important: The housing is fragile and flexible at the same time. Start removing from the upper right corner and upper center. 1.6. Disconnect the left cable from the autofocus board. 1.7. Remove the *front panel*. 2. Remove the projector's internals from the housing. 2.1. Unscrew the *screw under the power button*. 2.2. Remove the projector's internals from the housing. 3. Unscrew the cover from the polarizing glass and lens on the left side of the projector's internals (the left side when facing the lens). 3.1. Carefully peel off the electrical tape from the black ribbon cable to avoid damaging it. Be careful not to confuse them; they are similar. Take a photo of the markings on the ribbon cable and nearby markings, if any are visible. 3.2. Unscrew the two screws from the cover to the polarizing glass and lens. One of these may be hidden by electrical tape and/or the ribbon cable. 3.3. Remove the *glass cover and lens*, and pull out or shake out the glass. Other: Measure the glass before purchasing. Mine is *93x53 mm*. Insert the lens and glass with the same side facing up, being careful not to smudge them. The grooves are different. Wipe/vacuum. Keep the opening free of dust. Use caution; replacement is not included in the instructions. Replacement is easier than with other models.
