Japanese Mom’s Daily Routines – Gentle Discipline, Tantrum‑Free
Hello everyone around the world. I’m Koyuki, a 30‑year‑old mom living in Japan. Today I’m sharing a real 24 hours with my 1‑year‑7‑month‑old son, Sō‑san — a calm, screen‑free day with gentle discipline. Recently, he’s been understanding more of what I say, which makes communication so much easier. At the same time, he’s becoming more energetic — his naps are getting shorter, and his bedtime keeps getting later. Because of that, it’s been harder for me to find my own quiet time. So I started using temporary daycare three days a month. Those few hours help me reset, tidy our home, and recharge so I can enjoy our time together even more.
