Why We Bought a MEGABORE Lathe (… and 5 Things We Use It For!)

In today's video we're spotlighting our big green Gurutzpe MEGABORE Lathe affectionately referred to as "THE HULK". We purchased this 30 year old monster about 8 months ago to help us machine all the drill rods, drill stem and various components for our MEGADRILL project. The Hulk is a Weapon. It came without any manuals or books - and has no real ID plates - so we have no idea how much power it generates... but nothing has come close to stopping it yet! We'll give you a tour of how the big boy works, and then show you the TOP 5 things we use it for. 1) Ripping off metal (obviously) 2) Trepanning (with our shop made tool) 3) Deep Drilling (with a 130mm Kennametal HTS Drill) 4) Deep Boring (with our shop made 70kg / 150lb "TINY" bar) 5) All the random massive stuff that keeps coming in the door!
