HARD CANDY (2005) Movie Review
Hard Candy is a 2005 American psychological thriller directed by David Slade focusing on a meeting between 14-year-old Hayley (Elliot Page) and much older photographer Jeff (Patrick Wilson). The viewer doesn't initially know either Hayley or Jeff's motives, but as the movie progresses Hayley's vigilante ways become revealed. It's a tough movie to watch, and emotional on many levels as it begs the question, "How far is too far"? It becomes even more powerful when you realize there there are few actors (Page, Wilson and Sandra Oh) and few settings in this film. The claustrophobia intensifies as the viewer experiences Hayley and Jeff's emotions. Edited by: / @badatkarate999 Want to see early content + review of popsicles?
