Cómo crear tu propia CARTA DE PESCA con QGIS | Paso a paso

As promised in last Wednesday's Short, today we'll build a custom fishing chart together using QGIS, starting practically from scratch. In this tutorial, we'll see how to: ✅ Add Google Hybrid as a base image. ✅ Connect QGIS to the official nautical charts from the Spanish Navy's Hydrographic Institute. ✅ View soundings, depths, and bottom characteristics. ✅ Overlay different layers. ✅ Create a custom layer to mark our fishing spots. ✅ Save information and observations for each fishing spot. The goal isn't to become cartographers, but to use these tools to better understand what's in front of us, differentiate depths and bottom types, and have more criteria before deciding where to cast. Two anglers can consult the same nautical chart, but each will create a different fishing chart based on their experience. In upcoming chapters, we'll use this chart to analyze wind, tide, current, casting technique, and the outcome of the cast. 📘 You can find my fishing journals at: secretosdelpescador.com Subscribe to Secretos del Pescador to continue learning about fishing from the shore, from a boat, interpreting the seabed, and fish behavior.
