Structure Fire / Attic Fire with Roof Over - FL

Structure Fire in our primary. I'm on attack line 1 operating the nozzle. Fire was initially extinguished in the main living room by line 1 (Radio traffic can be heard at approximately 4:55 into the video), however it extended into the attic. Crews pulled ceiling to expose the fire in an effort to prevent further extension. This house did have a roof over (new roof built over an older roof), which added some unique challenges to us and made it harder to get a clean hit on the fire. As soon as resources became available, we made a great effort to salvage as many valuable items as possible. Thanks JW for the great footage! As always, in hindsight there are some things we could have done differently, but we hope that others can find value from this and talk through this scenario at the firehouse. I hope that this video can be a useful training tool for firefighters. Big thanks again to J. Webster!
