Kahramanmaraş'ta 12 katlı hasarlı bina patlayıcı kullanılarak yıkıldı

A 12-story building in the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş, severely damaged by the earthquake, was demolished using 130 kilograms of explosives. The building's collapse took five seconds after the fuse was detonated. Demolition continues on the heavily damaged buildings in Pazarcık, the epicenter of the first earthquake that struck on February 6th. While demolition continues with construction equipment, one block of the three-block Belman Sitesi was demolished using explosives. Explosives experts placed explosives at various points in the 12-story, 33-unit building, especially on the ground floor, for the demolition. Mehmet Güler, a representative of the demolition company, stated that thousands of buildings in Kahramanmaraş urgently need demolition, and that the fastest demolition is with explosives. Güler said, "What we're doing today is a start, and it's very significant that it's in Pazarcık. The explosives we're using here are dynamite and detonators. This building covers 450 square meters. In the 12-story building, we're using 130 kilograms of dynamite and 1,514 detonators. We're ensuring that all of these detonators detonate at different times to avoid any noise or flying stones. Security forces are also taking every necessary precaution." Mehmet Güler also stated that a separate permit is obtained for each demolition, which slows down the demolition process. He addressed the authorities, saying: "An explosives permit is essential for controlled demolition of buildings using explosives. A permit must be issued for the entire district, not just for each island, to accelerate the process. If I want to demolish a building 200 meters away after pressing the magneto, I can't do so under this permit. We request that the Ministry of Interior issue a circular or other directive to ensure the demolition of these buildings on a provincial or district basis as soon as possible. Obtaining a demolition permit takes approximately 15 days, and it takes time to collect the data for each building." IT LASTED 5 SECONDS It took the teams approximately three hours to plant the explosives in the building. A cable was then strung approximately 200 meters away from the building. After police took extensive security measures around the area, Pazarcık District Governor Mustafa Hamit Kıyıcı detonated the fuse, which brought the building down. The demolition of the 12-storey building lasted 5 seconds, and no one was injured.
