It keeps you from having to fiddle around with a bunch of cables… plugging and unplugging stuff to hear different speakers… Swapping over to headphones, etc. I’ve used the Heritage Audio RAM 2000 monitor controller for quite a while now, but my studio has changed a bit since we moved. I no longer need all the features this unit has, so I’m giving the RAM 1000 a try! This one has all the features that I need for my specific use case, and it takes up a good deal less space on my desk.
