How To Make A Basic Shampoo Using Surfactants

Making A Rice Protein Shampoo For Clean Scalp & Healthy Hair Here I'm going to share how to make your own shampoo. Basically you need only three ingredients to make a shampoo 1) Distilled water - Solvent 2) Surfactants - Cleansing agents removing dirt, oil and buildups 3) Preservatives - To preserve the formulation from going bad . Here we are adding some other extra goodies to make this shampoo little special. You can get all the ingredients used in the project from aseschem website https://ases.in/?srsltid=AfmBOoqs3zzO... ‪@aseschem1966‬ Ingredients Distilled water - 88 g ( solvent to dissolve the other ingredients and gives hydration) Glycerine - 5 g ( Humectant gives hydration to your hair) Coco Amido Propyl Betaine ( CAPB ) - 40 g ( Used to cleanse the dirt oils, boost the lather and used as a co surfactant in formulations ) - AMPHOTERIC SURFACTANT AOS - Alpha Olefin Sulphonate - 40 g ( Anionic surfactant ) They are stronger surfactants remove all dirts oils and buildups sometimes they can be more stripping so they are always paired with other mild surfactants like amphoteric surfactant or non ionic surfactant. Cucumber Extract - 12 g It soothes the scalp reduce itchness and helps in repair hair damage Hydrolyzed Rice Protein - 5g This is a cationic ingredient conditions and repairs hair damage and help to strength the hair. Fragance - You can add any kind of fragance here for essential oil lovers you can add 1%mix with capb first then add it here but using a water soluble fragance is easy . While using the fragrance check the recommended usage rate given by supply. ( Stick to general usage rate 1-2%) Preservative - Liquid Germal Plus - 1 g It preserve the product formulation from bacteria, mould,yeast and fungi . It saves your product from going bad. Xanthan gum transparent - 1.4 g you need a thickener to thicken the shampoo. preparing a slurry with mix xanthan gum with glycerin -5 g mix them without any clumps and add to the shampoo formulation.
