Fishing Sunrise to Sunset in Hopes of a Big Fish

A full sunrise to sunset fly fishing day along the Gotland coastline, right in the middle of December. In this video I’m fishing the Baltic Sea together with local guide Daniel Arvidson, moving between multiple coastal spots as weather, light, and conditions constantly change. Winter fishing on Gotland can be special. The island’s exposure to the Baltic sea keeps much of the coastline ice-free, creating rare opportunities for open-water sea trout fishing just before Christmas. We start shallow at first light, targeting fish that have moved in overnight, and fish through rain, increasing wind, colored water, and rough seas. This is winter sea trout fishing as it really is. Long hours, few guarantees, changing conditions, and moments that make the entire day worth it.
