Father Flanagan - America's #1 War Dad
The Armed Services Memorial was dedicated to honor the many Boys Town alumni who bravely served their country in uniform, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice in battle to protect America's freedoms. Boys Town founder Father Edward J. Flanagan was known during World War II as “America’s Number One War Dad” because hundreds of Boys Town kids listed him as their next of kin when they enlisted. To many of those boys, Father Flanagan was the only “father” they had ever known. See more: http://bit.ly/MemorialDayBT
