Most visitors to Mexico City stay around the Zócalo, Bellas Artes, and the main tourist attractions. In this vlog, I decided to do something different. Starting near the historic center on the eve of Mexico's World Cup festivities, I leave the tourist zone behind and head deeper into the city for a real local experience. Along the way I meet friendly locals, explore busy streets, sample authentic Mexican food, and make my way to the famous La Merced Market, one of the largest and most fascinating markets in Mexico City.
