Ukraine launched large number of drones at Moscow for third consecutive day

Ukraine continued its barrage of massive drone attacks on Russian capital Moscow and Moscow region on Friday, for the third consecutive day this week. Russian air defenses intercepted 35 Ukrainian drones heading toward Moscow within a 90-minute period on June 19, according to Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin. The first report of downed drones was published in the noon. Sobyanin did not provide details on any damage or casualties resulting from the latest attack. The drone strike followed a massive overnight assault on Moscow and the surrounding region on June 18, when nearly 200 Ukrainian drones targeted the Russian capital and nearby areas. Fires were reported at an oil refinery in the Kapotnya district, while drones also struck the Sadovod market and the Mega Belaya Dacha shopping center. Authorities said 17 people, including two children, were injured across the Moscow region. It should be noted that Ukrainian drones struck Moscow oil refinery twice this week.
