TIERRA DE PATAGONES – Una expedición en el Atlántico Sur | Película Documental

Tierra de Patagones is an award-winning Patagonia adventure documentary that follows the Gauchos del Mar brothers as they explore one of the southernmost and most remote regions on Earth: Isla de los Estados, in the South Atlantic Ocean. This feature-length documentary captures an epic journey across southern Patagonia, where the filmmakers travel through extreme landscapes, surf remote coastlines, and connect with native communities on both sides of the Andes. Along the way, they document traditional crafts, local culture, endemic wildlife, and the powerful forces of nature that define this region. The expedition culminates in Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, where they board a sailing vessel to navigate the Beagle Channel and cross the Strait of Le Maire — considered one of the most dangerous maritime passages in the world — in order to reach the uninhabited Isla de los Estados. Blending adventure, surf exploration, travel filmmaking, and environmental storytelling, Tierra de Patagones offers an immersive cinematic portrait of Patagonia, revealing a territory shaped by resilience, isolation, and the deep relationship between humans and nature.
