POV: You play Caravan for your entire high school

There were definitely a few moments of rushing and dragging, but honestly, I had the best time at my last ALA concert. It’s crazy to think how far I’ve come since I first started here. I’m so grateful for all the opportunities the academy has given me, and I’m especially thankful for my teacher, who always believed in me and pushed me to grow even when I doubted myself. (Slide 2) Playing Caravan has been a dream of mine for so long, and finally getting to perform it on stage was such a special moment — definitely one I’ll never forget. To my friends, thank you for being my biggest supporters through all the rehearsals, nerves, and performances. I couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you, ALA, for shaping me into the musician (and person) I am today. This journey means more to me than words can say.
