Wikinger-Mittelalter-Messer in Handarbeit

Viking - Medieval Knives - hand-crafted - Iron Age In this long video I am going to show you how I create a simple Iron Age knife (aka „Viking Knife“) by hand. This kind of knife was used by simple folk who could not afford more elaborate knives. This kind of handle makes it very easy, fast and affordable for many people. One of my subscribers wanted to know how long it takes to make a knife by hand. Forging and the heat treatment took around three hours while the grinding and sanding roughly took the same amount of time. I would like to say: THANK YOU! to all my subscribers! Filming, editing and the voice over is quite time consuming. Your subscription is a welcome feedback that I am on the right track. There are subtitles in English and German available. Please hit that „Like“ button and if you haven’t subscribed yet, please do so as well. It helps me a lot. Leave a comment with remarks or questions as well. Many thanks!
