30-Day Mountain Bike Skills Challenge Day 1

Every great mountain biker starts with the fundamentals. In this video, I’m kicking off my 30-Day Mountain Bike Skills Challenge by going back to the basics. Instead of chasing bigger jumps or steeper trails, I’m focusing on building a solid foundation of core bike-handling skills that every rider should master. Throughout this challenge, I’ll be working on: • The Slow Roll – Developing balance, control, and confidence at slow speeds. • Front Wheel Lift – Learning proper body positioning and timing to lift the front wheel over obstacles. • Manual Training – Building on the front wheel lift to improve balance and bike control without pedaling. • Rear Wheel Lift – Learning to unweight and lift the rear wheel for better obstacle clearance and technical trail riding. These skills are the building blocks for becoming a more confident and capable mountain biker. Whether you’re riding beginner trails or tackling advanced terrain, mastering the fundamentals will make you a smoother, safer, and more efficient rider. Join me on this 30-day journey as I challenge myself to improve one skill at a time. If you’ve been thinking about improving your riding, I encourage you to challenge yourself too. Progress doesn’t happen overnight—it comes from consistent practice, patience, and a willingness to keep learning. Remember, every expert rider was once a beginner who refused to quit. 👇 Are you joining the 30-day challenge? Let me know which skill you’re working on and let’s improve together!
