HyperOS 3 is here – and Xiaomi surprises. I thoroughly tested the new Android 16 firmware on the Xiaomi 15T Pro – and the update is significantly larger than it initially appears. From "HyperIsland" (Xiaomi's own Dynamic Island version) and revamped animations to perhaps the most striking new feature: true interconnectivity with Apple devices, including file transfer, near-zero latency mirroring, and even unlocking via Touch ID or Face ID. However, not everything is perfect: widgets are currently a mess, and some UI changes are a bit too reminiscent of iOS.
