Weather Sealing Won’t Save Your Camera
Weather Resistant sounds reassuring. But WR lenses and camera bodies are not sealed like submarines. They are not IP-rated devices. And they do not protect against the thing that actually damages gear most often: internal condensation. In this video, I demonstrate: • What Weather Resistant really means • Where the weak points usually are • Why temperature transitions are more dangerous than rain • How I manage moisture in the field This applies to Fujifilm WR lenses like the XF 23mm F2, but the principle is universal across brands. Protection isn’t in the seals. It’s in your behavior.
