Techquity Lab Webinar-The Magic of Learning to Teach

About the Techquity Lab The Techquity Lab is an Educational Research Group at the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS), Bengaluru that connects researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to advance inclusive, evidence-based education. It was conceived in the context of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and a growing recognition that the promise of technology and innovation must reach all learners, including those from underserved and marginalised communities. Through this webinar series, the Lab aims to bridge the gap between research and practice through dialogue, dissemination, and context-responsive pedagogic reform. It also seeks to explore the role of emerging technologies while advocating for equity, access, and quality in education. About the Speaker Dr. Marita Adam is a former Army Medical Core doctor turned educator and learning disability expert. She began her work by closely observing children with learning difficulties to develop successful remedial programs, and went on to found an NGO for educating the marginalised and pioneer school resource rooms in Goa. Her methods and curricula have been widely adopted within Goa's educational system, influencing policy and driving systemic change. She has trained educators, consulted for schools and policymakers, and developed innovative teaching approaches that have successfully advanced students from 'learning to read' to 'reading to learn'. #NEP2020 #TeacherTraining #InclusiveEducation #Equity
