Last year, as a result of an enemy strike, two buildings of the city hospital No. 9 were significantly damaged - the maternity ward and the therapeutic building. In this regard, we were forced to temporarily transfer the maternity ward and specialized departments to another building of the hospital, where all the necessary conditions for providing medical care are provided, but the area of ​​the premises is limited. 🏥Currently, major repairs and restoration work are underway in the maternity ward building. The project includes major repairs of the roof, insulation of the facade, replacement of engineering networks, as well as repairs of all internal premises. All repairs are being carried out at the expense of the regional budget. I sincerely thank the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Ganzhya, for supporting our city. This issue is important not only for Kamiansky, but also for the entire Kamiansky district, where about 450 thousand residents live, because this is the only maternity ward in the district. Within the framework of co-financing from the city budget, funds have been allocated for the purchase of furniture and necessary medical equipment. After the renovation, the maternity ward will become a modern medical space, where even better conditions will be created for mothers and newborns. There will be six modern delivery rooms with the possibility of partner childbirth, two modern operating rooms, a maternity pathology department, and comfortable conditions for mothers, children and medical staff will be provided. Today I inspected the progress of the work. All of them are being carried out in accordance with the approved schedule and will be completed by September 1 of this year. 🤱Hundreds of children are born in our maternity ward every year. It operates on the principle of 100% co-stay of mother and child and has the status of a “Child-Friendly Hospital”. Despite the temporary relocation, maternity care in the community did not stop.
