Do 'All-Rounder' Surfboards Exist? | Rusty Miso Joyride
“If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.” Anybody holding Dogecoin right now is probably reciting that line over and over in their heads — so simple, yet so true. The same can be said about the “all-arounder” surfboard, aka the “one-board quiver.” The truth is, no one surfboard is built to handle all the conditions the ocean can throw at you. But even in the realm of “normal waves” it’s hard to find a board that works equally well in chest-high wedges as it does a DOH point. So don’t let the marketing dorks try to fool you. When I received my Rusty Miso, it looked like a standard, easy-to-ride, small wave performance board. In my mind, the board review was already done. I’d go do a few wiggles in waist-high surf, swap a few fins, and call it a day. The Miso had other ideas.
