Bionca Ellis Was Off Her Medication During Fatal Stabbing: Defense

The attorney for Bionca Ellis discussed Ellis's mental illness in his opening statement. He said that Ellis was diagnosed at age 22. Her attorney claimed that her mother was trying to get Ellis medicated, stating that she is different without her medication. He told the jury, both before and after the fatal stabbing, that Ellis was off her medication. She is pleading not guilty by reason of insanity.
