Comment les plantes sont apparues sur Terre ? - C'est pas sorcier

The essential ingredients for life gathered there to form bacteria, which would give rise to tiny algae. About 3 million years later, the descendants of these algae left the water to conquer dry land. The great adventure of plants could then begin. Stems, roots, leaves, seeds, flowers, and fruits gradually appeared, perfecting the reproductive strategies of plants that slowly colonized the surface of the planet. This week, Sabine and Jamy recount the fabulous odyssey of plants. Sabine traces the first terrestrial species: algae, mosses, and horsetails, and explains how they evolved into the stemmed and leafy plants we know today. She then takes us to the Valloires garden in the Somme region to understand how trees capable of capturing ever more light thanks to their slender trunks, as well as the flowers and fruits whose colors and fragrances attract animals and ensure seed dispersal, came about. "It's Not Rocket Science," the science and discovery magazine presented by Fred, Jamy, and Sabine. Aboard their mobile laboratory, the three presenters take us to unusual and spectacular sites to explain the world around us.
