Cycling "Le Tour de Bourgogne" in 6 days - Canal du Nivernais
Cycling "Le Tour de Bourgogne" in 6 days - Canal du Nivernais In May 2024 I cycled the "Tour de Bourgogne a Velo" in the Burgundy region of France. A very pleasant ride and perfect for people who want to avoid the "hassle" of the transportation of bicycle and cyclist back to the starting point of a tour I stayed in hotels for 2 nights and camped for 3 nights. Highlights: Cycling infrastructure Availability of eating / sleeping / shopping options Mostly easy cycling, a bit more strenuous in the stretch from Dijon to Paray le Monial Beautiful gentle scenery, specially in the wine region after Baune. This fifth video of the trip is about the stretch I ride from Cercy la Tour to Merry sur Yonne. For the complete day we cycle along the Canal du Nivernais. A really enjoyable day of riding in friendly and cozy French countryside. At the end of the day I pitch my tent at a lovely campsite in the tiny village of Merry sur Yonne. Total ride today was 128km long, with only 300m of elevation. Enjoy the video!! More information AND gpx file can be found here: https://en.francevelotourisme.com/cyc...
