Violin Sonata op.9 no.1 - Abrahamson | Complete w/ score

Written over a period of 6 months from Fall 2025 through the 2026 winter, this violin sonata was originally meant to be a Trio with bass, but the latter's part was absorbed by the piano in an effort to highlight the violin as the soloist. It's broken into 4 movements - the first declares the thematic material, presented in voice-focused melodics, which is used throughout all movements. The intention behind 4 movements instead of 3 is to allow the listener to get lost in the middle two, taken away seemingly to a different place, then return in the 4th to realize they never left. 00:00 Movement 1 Andante con molto rubato 06:02 Movement 2 Larghetto 11:42 Movement 3 Andantino Humoresque 15:16 Movement 4 Brillante Moderato The movements are also posted as their own videos on my channel.
