Summer Pasture

Filmed on 5/29, in Lincoln National Forest, just north of Cloudcroft, in Southern New Mexico. Summer Pasture, known as Forest Road 568 (FR-568), starts at the east end of Bailey Canyon, off the NM-244. The road traverses the steep ridges and canyons of the Sacramento Mountains till it reaches beautiful montane meadows. On my hike I was within 5 minutes of the parking area, and I didn't even get as far as the meadow. One word for the forest in spring is serene, so serene. Big sky, white clouds, green leaves of grass and trees. It was all so beautiful and relaxing. Even this early in the season the forest was so alive, and I managed to capture just a little bit of it.
