Historia Alei Powstańców Śląskich

History of #Powstanieńców #Śląskich Powstanieńców Śląskich – one of Wrocław's longest and most representative thoroughfares. Until the mid-19th century, it was a regular road leading towards the villages of Neudorf and Kleinburg near Wrocław. After Wrocław's borders were expanded and Kleinburg was incorporated into the city, the road was renamed a road, and impressive tenement houses began to spring up along it like mushrooms after a rain. Until 1897, when the village of Kleinburg, now the Borek district, was incorporated into Wrocław, Kleinburger Straße ended at Haller Avenue. The city's dynamic growth and the ambitions of the authorities of the then Silesian Province led to the beginning of the reconstruction of the so-called Southern Suburb and the newly extended Kaiser Wilhelm Street at the end of the 19th century. A circular square was marked out roughly in the center, from which subsequent avenues branched off in a star-shaped fashion, such as Hohenzolernów Street. The most important, however, was to be the Imperial Avenue. It was here that consulates of the United States, Russia, and Austria were located, as well as popular restaurants, clubs, and Wrocław's first car showrooms. Imposing residences and townhouses were built along this prestigious street, housing imperial officials, as well as famous Wrocław lawyers and doctors.
