Krishna River has witnessed a significant rise in water levels following continuous heavy rainfall in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra. Krishna River is now flowing in full force, bringing much-needed relief to farmers and improving water availability across several parts of North Karnataka.The increased inflow has affected low-lying areas in Belagavi district, where several bridges have been submerged due to rising river levels. The bridge connecting Jugul and Rajapur in Kagawad taluk, which links Karnataka and Maharashtra, has gone under water, temporarily disrupting movement between the two states.The fresh spell of rain has revived rivers, streams, and irrigation sources after weeks of concern over water scarcity. Farmers have welcomed the improvement in river flow, expecting better prospects for agriculture during the monsoon season.Krishna River continues to remain under close watch as authorities monitor water levels and advise residents to avoid submerged bridges and flooded stretches.
