So It Goes… - CC Ireland

So It Goes… written by CC Ireland on a 1910 Mason & Farrell Upright Grand Piano tuned to 432Hz. I acquired this Piano through my mom on Facebook marketplace. It miraculously all worked out for us to go pick it up immediately. We had just the right amount of help to move this Beast of a Piano. It is a real work of art with hand carved dragons/lions and ivory keys. When I wrote this song, there were only 60 alive keys on this 88 key piano. Which makes this song special because I had to play around obstacles. I’m a self taught musician, so I don’t even know what I’m playing half the time. All of the footage was recorded by me throughout my world travels. iPhone 8 and 13. The video at the end is my favorite place in the world. Phra Nang Beach, Railay, Thailand. Put it on your bucket list. We all scurry around like ants. All working so hard, all doing the same thing. So it goes… “Time is all time. It does not change. It does not lend itself to warnings or explanations. It simply is. Take it moment by moment, and you will find that we are all, as I've said before, bugs in amber. So it goes…-Vonnegut “The sun rises and the sun sets, and hurries back to where it rises. The wind blows to the south and turns to the north; round and round it goes, ever returning on its course. All streams flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full. To the place the streams come from, there they return again. All things are wearisome, more than one can say. The eye never has enough of seeing, nor the ear its fill of hearing. What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which one can say, “Look! This is something new”? It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time. No one remembers the former generations, and even those yet to come will not be remembered by those who follow. There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. What do workers gain from their toil? I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God. I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him. Whatever is has already been, and what will be has been before; and God will call the past to account. And I saw something else under the sun: In the place of judgment—wickedness was there, in the place of justice—wickedness was there. I said to myself, “God will bring into judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed.” -Ecclesiastes NIV Oregon. Washington.
