Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an of the Kuomintang (KMT) called on the public to march on Ketagalan Boulevard on July 25th to express their opposition to the toxic oil to the DPP government. Even Taichung Mayor Lu Shiow-yen, a member of the same party, expressed her participation. However, it has now been revealed that the Taichung City Government has a record of zero BaP testing in the past eight years, leading to accusations that Lu Shiow-yen is shifting the blame to the central government.
