The Knit Purl Girl Podcast Episode 9: Sweaters in the summer 🧶🌞

My sample is made with Knitting for Olive Pure Silk in the shades Cream and Cardamom. Gwynver Sweater I’m using The Raw Wool Company Soft as Sea Mist DK/4-Ply from batch 3, which is 70% British Romney lambswool and 30% British Dorset Wool. The earlier batch I refer to is 100% British Dorset wool, and is slightly darker and a bit less soft (FWIW though, I still think it’s very soft. It’s just slightly more sheepy). This is currently out of stock in the DK weight but when it comes back I HIGHLY recommend it as it’s a gorgeous yarn to work with, and a fantastic business. Yet-to-be-named colour work sweater – I think this one is actually going to be called the Orla Sweater! I’m using John Arbon Textiles Harvest Hues Worsted Weight in the shade Blackthorn (main colour, navy blue), Silver Birch (grey), Pomegranate (red), and Raindrop (light blue). Finn Sweater I’m using John Arbon Textiles Harvest Hues 4-Ply in the shade Elder held with Isager Alpaca 1 in the shade 36. Sennen Sweater 4-ply I’m using Marina Skua Mendip 4-ply in the shades Night and Sheep on the cloudy base. Shell Tee with long sleeves I’m using Garthenor Preseli 4-Ply in the shades Marble (grey), Paphos (bright blue), Tilia (lime green), Holly (dark petrol blue), and Poppit (light grey blue, which does appear to have been discontinued unless I’m missing something on the website). As noted in the podcast this has very limited availability but is a beautiful yarn if you can find some. Raglan cardigan I’m using Middle Campscott Farm Organic Shetland DK. It’s either shade Grey or Fawn but I’m not sure – the batch I have on the label doesn’t correspond to what’s currently available. Lovely yarn though! Really recommend it!
