The Great Bliss Melody and Dance of Gesar Ling by Jamgön Ju Mipham Gyatso Ju Mipham Rinpoche passed away about 112 years ago. Revered as a manifestation of Manjushri, he embodied immense wisdom, compassion, and ability, and was considered a master of great accomplishment. Proficient in the "Ten Sciences," he authored numerous significant works. Mipham Rinpoche provided many skillful teachings on how to be a good person and practice both exoteric and esoteric Buddhism. One such teaching was about "The Great Melody Dance of Gesar Ling.” Mipham Rinpoche said that if this dance and music could be widely promoted, it would have the auspicious effect of dispelling various misfortunes and difficulties, and bringing happiness and prosperity to the world. He further stated, "This (The Great Melody Dance of Gesar Ling) was written in response to an especially significant and necessary condition." Participants should cultivate devotion and bodhicitta. The male dancers on the right, dressed in white or yellow, symbolize the sixteen kinds of joy, while the female dancers on the left, dressed in red or purple, symbolize the sixteen aspects of emptiness.
