Mit dem E Auto Geld verdienen

E.ON and BMW Germany are the first companies in Germany to offer a bidirectional charging tariff. Users are paid for making their electric car's battery available as a buffer storage system. Ideally, this can result in a bonus of €720 per year, equivalent to 14,000 kilometers of driving. This works with the new BMW iX3, which allows energy to flow in both directions. However, users need a new wallbox that draws direct current from the battery. As soon as the car is plugged in, for example, overnight, E.ON can feed the energy from the battery back into the grid. The advantage: Solar and wind energy produced during the day waits in the electric car for use. This eliminates the need to activate a gas-fired power plant at night for energy generation. It balances the production and use of renewable electricity. Naturally, the battery is still sufficiently charged for the next day's commute. Users set their desired range in the app. This example demonstrates how the mobility and energy sectors can work together effectively.
