Barefoot Tracks of Whangarei: Hurupaki Reserve - Dip Road, Kamo
Just over the hill from Onoke Reserve on Dip Road is the track that goes up to the top of Hurupaki - one of the maunga (mountain) in Kamo. This is a lush forest, with an perfect track for barefeet, stairs and ropes to help you up and down to the top. This track appears to be a love of labour from local people rather than council maintained. Quite the adventure! Highly recommend.
