I Ran My First Half Marathon for Wildlife Heroes 🦁 | UWA Charity Run 2026 | World Wildlife Day

On March 1st, I ran my very first UWA Half Marathon 2026 — and it wasn’t just about the finish line. 🏃🏾‍♀️ This charity run was dedicated to supporting the children of rangers who lost their lives protecting Uganda’s wildlife. These brave heroes risk everything to defend our national parks, animals, and natural heritage. As we celebrate World Wildlife Day (March 3rd), this experience reminded me that conservation is more than protecting animals — it’s about protecting families, communities, and the future of our planet.
