Comparison: Gretsch Alligator resonator guitars by Jan Ulf Haasler

GRETSCH ALLIGATOR resonator guitar I recently purchased an other Gretsch alligator resonator guitar fitted with a National cone. My older one that developed an incredible tone (considering this budget priced product range) sounds like an old, really old guitar to me, exactly the tone that I'm looking for. Compared side by side the new one sounds pretty similar, but - you can guess - newer, may be with a bit less punch in the low end but a bit more precision thanks to the cone, so far as I can describe sounds. The cone inside is a bit more shaking and has that - i call it - platish sound.
